The main reason I'm staying up late is to watch bit.ly/uRNlX, and I think you should too - the Supermarket Psychology clip is genius!
If you want to know more about screen-printing and how the design will be printed onto the shirts, I think Wikipedia do a good guide showing you what the printers will be doing on Monday, that can be found here.
Anthony (el printaro) uses Union and Wilflex inks, high, high, high quality plastisol inks that are heat-treated towards the end of the screen-printing process to ensure that the design will have maximum resilience against most sorts of washing (hand or machine).
The printing is done using steel screen frames covered with very high quality Scandinavian (only the best!) metal mesh. The U&W inks are then spread onto the screen surface using 65 shore squeegees with metal handles and guide bars to make sure that the print distribution across the screen is as even as possible.
So that's just a basic summary of what will be happening to that lovely batch of Continental N11/N12 t-shirts on Monday morning...
Anyway, I'm off to watch some more of Eddie Izzard - "Cake or Death?" Just about the simplest question ever asked!
Out.
- Ben
