AAIIEEEE! First Review!

Well, as el titelaro suggests, I GOT MY FIRST FRIKKIN REVIEW!
And for some reason I've got the opening to the My Musical ep. of Scrubs going round in my head?...

Without missing the point of this post!... The review was written by the lovely Micah over at ATshirtBlog, turns out he's got a sick design company called Type: Micah running alongside ATshirtBlog - very cool :)
Read it in full over at New York Battleships' very own TShirtBlog page but here's a little snippet if you haven't got time to read it all...
"...I suggest you don’t mess with it unless you want to get blown out of the water. (Get it?)..."
Anywho, I've just been listening to British Sea Power's Do You Like Rock Music? album all the way through (very rare) while I've been in shock and trying to find things to write for this post!
Just about to listen to the late (band not person) Sam Isaac's album Bears with artwork so amazing that it just CAN'T be left out!

MOST IMPORTANTLY! I'm still so happy about getting my 1st review that I'm giving y'all 40% OFF just for today! Just go over to the Sanusi Apparel shop or click the link in the top right of this page, under Get In Touch, choose your size and enter: ATSHIRTSA and get YOUR 40% off noooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww :)
In other news, I'm off for a massive peanut butter and banana foldover, or maybe I'll go for a ham and cheese toastie?...OH EXCITEMENT!...
And then it's off to the W for work again 4-8.30pm.
Happy days!
Out.

Yurp

Morning all!
Not a lot of news for you to catch up on this week - things have been quite quiet around SA HQ. That's not to say that there is ABSOLUTELY NO NEW NEWS!...
When I shop online, the only thing that gets me (other than not being able to try the clothes on beforehand) is the frikkin delivery charges that hike your bill up by about 400,000%! Because it annoys me, I'm guessing that it annoys YOU too, so here's what I've decided to do:
US delivery (Airmail est. 6-10 days) = £3/$5
UK delivery (1-2 days) = £1.50
Western Yurp = £2.50/€2.80/kr.20,-
If you're reading this and thinking "SHIT! I don't live in these areas!" DON'T PANIC! Just drop me a line at frontdesk@sanusiapparel.com and I'll give you a more accurate delivery charge and shipping time.
In other news, for those who've been following SA on Twitter there was a time, after finishing late at the W (AGAIN!) that alllllll takeaways were shut and there was no food anywhere in the house, and that all I could find were the 2 day old remains of a Chinese I'd had at the weekend.
However enticing it looked on the day I had it, I didn't know whether to risk heating it up again so - I had it cold... if you haven't already realised, this was a FAIL of epic proportion.
Anywho, my Ben & Jerry's supply has now completely run out, following yesterday's daily dose of Scrubs pt. 58 x3 so it looks like I'll have to stop ahead of this evening's plans!
Stay up to date with any new news SA has to offer by being a friend/ fan / follower!

I'll leave you with this...

I don't know about you, but this really put my cold 2-day-old Chinese FAIL in perspective. Hah!

Out.

Featuring Bob Kelso!

Good evening!
I’m very shocked and appalled that this is the first post in what…16 DAYS?!
I promise I’ll give at least a fortnightly update for all of you interested and committed followers/fans/friends, PROMISE!
As you read in the posts below, the launch went well and I managed to sell 2 shirts which, as my cousin Grace of Demakes Apparel says, is a bloody good day!
Over the next 2 weeks I managed to shift several more and I have sent out the first 2 gift orders to some very special people – something I might do with big tweet numbers as I mentioned yesterday here maybe EVEN a competition?
I’ll DEFINITELY give away a pair of t-shirts with my 1,000th tweet... fo sho.
I’ve been enjoying myself a lot in doing this, and I hope that this’ll continue now and into the future!
It’s been so nice to have a sort of alter-ego when I get back home from work to just switch off from regular work and just crack down to SA work – not really work at all when you think about it!
There is talk of a shop in the Danish capital, Copenhagen, being interested in selling my shirts but more on that when I know more.
I’m amazed at how much support SA has been getting over the last few months, and I really appreciate everything that you’ve done for me – you guys and girls should know who you are.
I had a typewriter and packing paper issue a few days, but thankfully these problems have now been solved and the typewriter is running sweetly and the packing paper is bountiful…oh she's so good to me!

Getting some of your pictures together for the 1st ed. Sanusi Apparel family has been fun, and it’s been really cool to see you all looking awesome in your tees; something that you’ll be able to see over at the SA MySpace page in a little while!
Anyway, I’ve decided to extend the FREE DELIVERY offer for another WEEK, until the 5th of November, after that ordinary UK delivery (1st Class Royal Mail post) will be just £2.
As promised, I’ll keep the TShuttle service running for anyone from the Beam/Colly schools to get their tee delivered to either common room for just 50p!
Get yours NOW here !
To read more about it then please read this blog post.
If you are interested in TShuttle and want to buy a tee, email me at frontdesk@sanusiapparel.com and I’ll set it all up for you.
As a side note, the Sanusi Apparel Facebook page, voila, is now taking off and I’d love it if you could spend the 2 seconds it takes to click “Be a fan” – you have no idea how much support this brings to SA!
I’m now taking suggestions on how to make SA EVEN better. Email me your thoughts and opinions at frontdesk@sanusiapparel.com
With that, I’m going to sign off and go and get something to eat, I’ve got a serious hunger pang coming on…I can just feel it people!
Maybe I’ll go for the peanut butter and banana fold over? Provided that the jar of PB isn’t EMPTY – seriously a crime in this household, and should be official law…Every house in the world should have some thick, crunchy peanut butter similar to that in the picture below!
Maybe a ham and cheese foldover or should I go all out and make a toastie?!
What I DEFINITELY won’t go for is a horrible “Apple Bear Claw” from the W, which for the Twitter followers amongst you, I deemed digusting and overly gooey last night see what I’m talking about? After finishing the claw, I did realise the name should be the first warning to potential buyers as I mean, what kind of sick pastry joke is it to have BEAR CLAW in the title of it?!!
Anyway, daily dose of Scrubs pt. 44 went so well, I think I may have to indulge in another one, this time maybe with the “BETTER THAN HALF PRICE!” Ben&Jerry’s Phish Food AND Baked Alaska that is sitting, waiting to be feasted on in my freezer downstairs mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
SO! If you’re feeling in a giving/helping/friendly/followy mood then please be a fan, follower and keep helping to SPREAD THE WORD about Sanusi Apparel :D :D :D
No, maybe I’ll go for some cereal, or possibly brinner?

“Daaaaaym Turkledawg, you got brinner?!” but waaay better! :)

Click-Arrival

Well here it is - the new Click-Arrival feature of Sanusi Apparel.
As you move down the page you'll be following exactly what happens here at SA HQ when your order comes in.

Your order details are then written down on the SA Order Sheet.

Your shirt size is then taken off the hanger to be folded, wrapped and packaged.
Women's sizes are on black hangers, Men's on brown/beige hangers.

An individual letter addressed to you is then typed out.

And obviously folded!

Then your t-shirt will be folded, as shown in the gif below.

String is then wrapped around the brown paper package like this.

Then your address and a "Sender" tab are typed, cut and stuck onto the package.

The folded, wrapped and packed order, ready to go!

If you're an overseas customer, your packet will look slightly different, see below.

So that is basically what happens from you clicking "Purchase" to the arrival of your order at home!

Day 1 Daily Roundup

2 posts in 2 days I hear you say!?... that's just RUDDY WONDERFUL!
Beam/Colly? This may interest you!
Starting the day at 8ish, I had to do a few last minute things, like check that we hadn't run out of peanut butter again (more of that compelling story later), and by 8.50 I was clicking furiously away at the online shop before I "launched" it at 9.
An hour went by without an order, and I successfully rearranged my typing/packing workstation and ate some cereal.
THEN!... at 10.15 my first order came through, and I was in such a mad rush to get it sent out within the hour that I completely forgot to document the process (sorry, my bad, people!).
After sitting and looking at the freshly-packed order on my desk, I made some pancakes to celebrate.
This was them, and they were gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood :)

(Not quite as impressive as my childhood comic Rasmus Klump's pancake stacks (as seen here).
Anyway, as the minutes ticked by, I found myself becoming bored again, so I decided that the best thing to do to calm my first-day-nerves was to beat the crazy ass gym boss of Pokémon Red's Cinnibar Island.
It looked a little something like this...

Next came giving blood.
I was thinking about taking a picture of me with a needle in my arm and a big bag of blood rocking on the floor (so it doesn't clot), but I thought that if I pulled out my phone and took a picture I'd get some very odd looks!
Instead, I watched this little "Progress" bar thing that shows 10-100% and I had a very horrifying JD-type dream that the bar was 100% but the machine kept draining my blood until I was just a pile of skin on the floor...think Jabba the Hut but worse.
When the bars reached 100%, Jenny the nurse came over and I found out that it took me 8 minutes to give 1 pint of blood and there's, what, 10 pints of blood in the average adults body... so in theory that machine could have changed me into Jabba in less time than a full football game! :S
I know it's not a closeup of the needle in my vein, but here's the little plaster they put on my arm afterwards.

Getting back, and after eating some pork chops, I checked the shop to find that I had gotten my SECOND ORDER OF THE DAY!
What may be of great interest to you... This means that FREE DELIVERY will be added to the next 3 orders at http://bit.ly/fgiEK as 2+3=5 :)

Just in case you were wondering, I had a big peanut butter and banana sandwich to celebrate this new order, and like the victory pancakes earlier, it was gooooooooooooooooooood too.

Out.

P.S. They were all out of ordinary "I donated blood today" stickers so I opted for the awesome Uncle one available - I just wish I could say that I drew it myself!

Week Off

Well, as you probably know, today was the day that the courier was finally meant to deliver my tees from A. So, because I'm on my week off I slept in, and sure enough there was a knock on the door around 11am.
Tim was the nice delivery driver who apologized about the delays, and as I signed for the box, he went back to his van to get it...

Two minutes later, after taking a pair of scissors to the box, I finally caught site of the NYB shirts...at this moment I was thinking "Sweet Jesus, these are beautiful!" - more a testament to A's maaaaad printing skillz than my designing skills!...

Anyway, after finding my own Men's Large, I finally calmed down from the excitement to have a peanut butter and banana sandwich but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!... the pot was empty.
Anyway, without sounding too much like a kid's bedtime story, I'll cut to the chase.
Sanusi Apparel will FINALLY open Wednesday (TOMORROW!!) morning at 9AM BST.
And as promised, the first FIVE ORDERS (UK only) will receive FREE DELIVERY as a very special thank you to everyone who's been keeping up to date and following SA :)
In the mean time, I'm doing some minor alterations to the SA site (www.sanusiapparel.com/sanusiapparel.bigcartel.com) and, obviously, getting my daily dose of Scrubs.
So wherever you are in the world, why don't you be SA's new follower, fan, and friend to make sure that you're the first to hear any SA news as it happens!
The Click-Arrival feature of the SA site won't be available to view until tomorrow afternoon as I (hopefully) get the first orders out :)

READ IF YOU'RE A BEAM/COLLY STUDENT!!...Announcing TShuttle, a service that will be a far cheaper way for you to get your hands on your SA shirt - even if you've missed the first 5 order FREE DELIVERY.
Selecting TShuttle will get your SA tee delivered to either common room for only 50p!
If you would like TShuttle delivery, then please email me at frontdesk@sanusiapparel.com - I'm thinking of delivering tomorrow but this all depends on how much interest there is!
In case any of you were worrying, I managed to pick up a mega-big pot of PB and I'm about to eat my sandwich now.
Anyways, I'm late for an appointment with my, sorry Beth's box set :D

Miniature Disaster...

Well, there was always something that was bound to go wrong...!
SA will not be opening tomorrow morning at 9am BST, just to let everyone know.
This minor setback was caused by the courier that A is using to deliver my parcel returning it to A's office for some unknown reason (surely you're meant to deliver the post to the addressee not the sender?!).
ANYWAY! As A was out of office at the time, he has only just returned and managed to secure a Saturday morning delivery out of his own pocket, so kudos for him there.
I'll be moving the launch back until early next week, and I'll actually hang fire in announcing the special day and date until I actually have the shirts with me here at SA HQ :)
Work this weekend is going to be nuts, but I've got all of next week to do lots of lovely SA work (not really work, for me anyway!) and get all those lovely orders out to you.
I hope that you've remembered that the first 5 orders from SA will receive FREE DELIVERY, just once more in bold to make that point... FREE DELIVERY ON THE FIRST 5 ORDERS! (UK ONLY)
Anyway, I'm going to de-ache and go and get my daily dose of Scrubs now before 1/2 day off 1/1 starts tomorrow :) :)
Keep tuned as I tweet and post over the next few days when I can.
Head over to Twitter to get a sneak peek of the newly printed Continentals - A to thank for that gem :)
I've been sweeping eBay for old 90's brick mobiles for a work phone but all I've found so far is an unforgettable Motorola ad from the...80's?... well worth a watch here if you've got a minute.
In other news, I hope that everyone's livers are ok from all these Freshers Weeks and Fortnights going on everywhere! :)
